Mayor of Kingstown renewed for a second season

Aidan is to return as Milo Sunter as Paramount Plus have announced that the series is to be renewed for a second season. The first season of the series is now avilable worldwide, in the UK Paramount Plus can be streamed via Amazon Prime. Hopefully it will also soon be available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

PEAKY BLINDERS SEASON SIX RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED

The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders is to air on the BBC in the UK and on BBC iplayer on 27th February. After the traumatic demise of Aberama Gold at the end of season 5 we know he is highly unlikely to make an appearance in this season, other than in possible flash backs. but we are still curious as to who betrayed him and why.  Season six picks up the story a few years after the end of the previous one, and plays out against the build up to World War 2. Series creator Steven Knight has said this season revolves around Tommy Shelby's search for redemption.  Despite previous reports that the story would end as World War 2 begins there is now a film in the pipeline, rumoured to be focusing on the younger members of the Shelby clan.

TV series KIN renewed for a second and third season

RTE and streaming service AMC+ have confirmed that there will be a second season of the aclaimed TV show KIN. No surpise considering the show was the most successful drama in Ireland last year. What is surprising is that Aidan's character actually made it to through the first season and Aidan will reprise his role as Frank Kinsella in season two. A third season was greenlit prior to work starting on the second season and they are now to be shot back to back.  Filming has already begun in Dublin

In 2019 Aidan starred as real-life professor Dr J Allen Hynek in the sci fi TV series Project Blue Book. Loosely based on the investigations of Project Blue Book, which looked into UFOs and unexplained phenomena, the series was a mix of sci fi, history and drama, and was a hit with fans around the world. Following a second season in 2020 the show was cancelled by History Channel, leaving the season finale cliff hanger unresolved. Creator David O’Leary was offered a mini-series by the channel to conclude the story which he declined feeling there were lots more stories to be explored.

Following the announcement of the cancellation of the show in May 2020, Project Blue Book fan Carsten Kirkorka set up a petition on change.org to save the show and followed this with regular #SaveBlueBook campaigns on social media. The campaign, supported by show creator David O’Leary and members of the cast and crew, has also been picked up by various publications around the world. and the petition now has in excess of 27K signatures.
