Release date announced for ‘That Dirty Black Bag’

AMC+ have announced that the 8-part TV series 'That Dirty Black Bag' will be released on will be released on the 10th March, still no word on exactly who Aidan will be playing but the trailer is very bloody and very cool. This looks to be a very unique twist on the traditional western, you can view the trailer here

TV series KIN renewed for a second and third season

RTE and streaming service AMC+ have confirmed that there will be a second season of the aclaimed TV show KIN. No surpise considering the show was the most successful drama in Ireland last year. What is surprising is that Aidan's character actually made it to through the first season and Aidan will reprise his role as Frank Kinsella in season two. A third season was greenlit prior to work starting on the second season and they are now to be shot back to back.  Filming has already begun in Dublin

PEAKY BLINDERS SEASON SIX RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED

The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders is to air on the BBC in the UK and on BBC iplayer on 27th February. After the traumatic demise of Aberama Gold at the end of season 5 we know he is highly unlikely to make an appearance in this season, other than in possible flash backs. but we are still curious as to who betrayed him and why.  Season six picks up the story a few years after the end of the previous one, and plays out against the build up to World War 2. Series creator Steven Knight has said this season revolves around Tommy Shelby's search for redemption.  Despite previous reports that the story would end as World War 2 begins there is now a film in the pipeline, rumoured to be focusing on the younger members of the Shelby clan.

ROSE PLAYS JULIE RELEASE DATES

After a long wait Rose Plays Julie will finally be releaed in cinemas in UK and Ireland on 17th September, there will be previews on 15th September. The film received a four star review (out of a possible five) in the prestigious UK film magazine, Empire.

An initiative show mixing fact and fiction, documentary and film noir in an exciting comic book style. Aidan plays a 50’s style private detective investigating the dangers that lurk in our cosmos, clues are provided by scientists and this is where the documentary side comes into play. An interesting concept, it could be jarring switching from comic book style to straight documentary but if it works it will be both entertaining and informative. Aidan Directs Music Video

Oscar Wilde (Came Here To Make Fun Of You) is the lead single from musician John Murry’s latest album, ‘The Stars are God’s Bullet Holes’, the ‘quirky’ video which accompanies the track was directed by Aidan.  He has, of course, appeared in numerous music videos, but this is the first time he has stepped behind the camera. Like the Fontaines D.C ‘A hero’s Death’ video, which Aidan starred in, this also features a puppet, but this time it is of the musician himself.  Aidan is quoted in an interview with Hot Press as saying “I had this idea of john floating around my house – or did that happen in real life? – anyways I liked the idea of a John puppet floating around upside down and mentioned this to him.  His ex had made this puppet with and uncanny likeness and I used whatever technology I had to hand to try and make something that looked nice for the puppet part. I mean, it’s not all in focus, but there’s a bit too much of that these days.”  You can watch the video on Youtube here
