Aidan Directs Music Video

Oscar Wilde (Came Here To Make Fun Of You) is the lead single from musician John Murry’s latest album, ‘The Stars are God’s Bullet Holes’, the ‘quirky’ video which accompanies the track was directed by Aidan.  He has, of course, appeared in numerous music videos, but this is the first time he has stepped behind the camera. Like the Fontaines D.C ‘A hero’s Death’ video, which Aidan starred in, this also features a puppet, but this time it is of the musician himself.  Aidan is quoted in an interview with Hot Press as saying “I had this idea of john floating around my house – or did that happen in real life? – anyways I liked the idea of a John puppet floating around upside down and mentioned this to him.  His ex had made this puppet with and uncanny likeness and I used whatever technology I had to hand to try and make something that looked nice for the puppet part. I mean, it’s not all in focus, but there’s a bit too much of that these days.”  You can watch the video on Youtube here
